[Hide Comment] Was a lower bolt added to this climb or am I confused? It seemed like the first bolt was higher last time I did this route, two years ago. I can be confused though, after all I just received my AARP invitation letter last week. Feb 18, 2009
[Hide Comment] A bolt was added. The big flake that the leader stood on to clip the first bolt came off, so a new bolt was placed lower to avoid groundfall.... Mar 6, 2009
[Hide Comment] That's what it looked like, thanks for getting back to me, Stewart. Mar 9, 2009

[Hide Comment] Wandering, forced, and poorer rock than usual (even for RRC). Check out the z-pattern at top if you clip all the bolts. Allows for an interesting, hard and more direct toprope starting a little left of the line. May 12, 2010

[Hide Comment] I'm not sure what is meant by "forced." Wandering, yes, as it follows the natural weaknesses in the rock. Great test piece for RRC .10a friction, imho. Aug 12, 2010

[Hide Comment] Yup. the third hanger is still missing. 4th hanger will be missing soon if someone doesn't torque it down, so watch out. I didn't have a wrench on me. Sep 7, 2015

[Hide Comment] I used a BD #7 wired nut for bolt 3 (the hanger is still missing). Aug 21, 2016

[Hide Comment] It’s a tricky traverse that leads to a very thin crux. Friction your way up the crux with no hands. A fall on the traverse could lead to a pretty nasty pendulum. Wouldn’t recommend for someone who is just getting into leading 5.10. Jul 15, 2019
[Hide Comment] Bring a Beta stick, cuz the second bolt is MIA, and going for the 3rd and slipping will result in a not-so-fun ambulance ride. May 12, 2020

[Hide Comment] The third bolt is still missing, it's a very dangerous fall from the fourth bolt traverse. Jun 10, 2021
[Hide Comment] The 3rd hanger is loose. The bolt feels solid, and the nut is hand tight. Oct 10, 2023

[Hide Comment] The anchors were updated, and Mussy hooks were added. We updated bolt #3 with a glue-in. Please consider a donation to the PPCA or ASCA for further hardware updates. Dec 18, 2023
