Description

Jump to ledge and mantle up. Clip, rest and go for it. When you reach the upper cave traverse the lip to the left and up again to access chains.

Location

Start at the right side of the cave.

This route was originally led with two drilled baby angles and two pink tri-cams, Scott Harris got the second and was mad it was so sketchy so a couple extra bolts were added. Scott also came up with the name, it was the nickname for Dave Letterman of the "Late Night Show", which was huuuuge at the time. Jul 29, 2017

When you're burned, don't forget about the rail traverse at the top: about eight feet left of the ledge you grab at the top is the last bolt that is a straight traverse left with pretty good feet...but still vertical. All sorts of weird clipping stances to get the chains. Great route! Feb 20, 2014

Personally I feel this climb is a letter grade harder then Grey Streak, which should be a letter grade lower then it is. But that's just me. Feb 21, 2013
