Bourbon IV

V0, Boulder, 15 ft (5 m),  Avg: 3.1 from 35 votes
FA: unknown
California > Sierra Eastside > Mammoth Lakes Area > Sherwin Plateau > Dreamers > Hawkins Boulder

Long pulls on great pockets and finish at the U shaped dip in the rock.

Climb the obvious black streak running down the Hawkins Boulder on the SW side.

Good landing, but a pad is always nice.

[Hide Comment] The FA was Ellie Hawkins back in the 1980s sans crash pad. Ellie was described to me as a badass wall climber who did a lot of solo FFAs and had a penchant for bourbon. Shout out to the women bouldering pioneers who were undercover crushers back in the day! Aug 8, 2020
