Description [Edit]

A common first outdoor climb or cool-down solo, Stage Fright ascends the juggy/ledgy arete to the right of Desperado. Very easy climbing down low leads to more reachy moves up high, and a 'crux' just before the top.

Location [Edit]

Follow the arete first seen as you enter Den Rock.

Protection [Edit]

Glue-in anchor at top.

I just climbed Stage Fright my first time @ Denrocks today. I free solo'ed it right off the bat, and it is a good solid climb w/ confident and juggy holds halfway up, then a slightly more technical but short and manageable crux. It is short, but high enough to get hurt. Apr 30, 2009

Definitely an awesome, puckery boulder problem! See if you can make the crux moves at 20 feet, and then have the nerve for the tricky top-out at 30 feet! Both times I tried, I bailed right and topped out around the arete, which is much easier. Oct 6, 2013
