I know, I know. 4 stars Chris? Seriously? Yes dudes. I'm telling you, this is a classic climb. Here's my reasons: 1. It has a great sit start (a lot of sds in Duluth lack the quality of actually being cool) 2. The movement flows well and is consistent throughout the climb 3. The holds are cool 4. There is an amazing pinch that I had to use (and you will likely not find a hold like this anywhere else in Duluth or Northern MN for that matter!) 5. It's a good enough length to have a little risk involved. Named XMen for the X's that criss-cross the face, the new evolving climbing scene in Duluth, and the mutants that are starting to appear.

To the right of Top Out Problem on the lower wall.

Both this and "top out problem" are great fun on nice holds. Four stars, no, but definatly fun climbing. They have cleaned up pretty well, I couldn't find any loose holds. Apr 29, 2009

Really fun problem! It took me quite a few slaps to get the sloper keyed in for the top-out. Sep 26, 2009

Took me forever to find this stuff. It's AWESOME, the whole wall has great climbs. Good landing great height. X MEN 5 stars for sure May 23, 2010
The pinch and hollow bucket are gone, they came off really easily. Grade remains unchanged, but at least you won't find yourself with a facefull of rocks. Still a very fun problem, now with less loose rock! Oct 15, 2015
