Access Issue: Yosemite National Park climbing closures and conditions Details

Description

Begin on the right side of the upper tier, immediately in front of a large tree. Stem up the tree to the first of two bolts that protect the climbing up to a break. From here things get more challenging. Follow the bolt line as it heads slightly right (there is a dirtier variation that branches out left a few bolts up). Great climbing.

Not necessary to stem onto the tree. The opening sequence goes at about V0, but it's a bit tricky. Green alien can go in above the 2nd bolt to protect the awkward moves to the ledge. Mar 30, 2015

I thought the crux was moving left from the crack into the sidepulls where it meets back up with the variation. May 10, 2017
