Description

A fun steep muscley problem. At the steep overhanging base of the Arch Boulder find two jugs and begin. Eliminate the slabby boulder-base for the more demanding experience. An easy steep move gains the first of two flakes. Hand traverse along this and get a heel high to toss to the second flake. Top out. Be careful. There is really no way to pad from the crux to the topout.

Protection

There is really no way to pad the crux move since it backs up onto another rock. Blowing this move without a spot would be punished with a scrapey trip to the ground. This and the reach-dependency of the move I feel warrant the + in the grade.

[Hide Comment] Don't let the lack of pad scare you, this thing is awesome. If you fall off at the crux (which is pretty secure anyways), the worst you will do is slide on a nice smooth slab 2 feet to the ground. Not a big deal. Apr 14, 2010
