Description

The crux is right off the ground... Start with a left foot on a small hold then reach the arete with your right hand and get your right foot on a slopy foot hold... Keeping that right foot on will prove to be the crux... Once you stand up on the foot more moderate crimping gets you to the top out...

Location

This problem climbs the arete and face to the left of Gene Therapy on the bolt on top boulder...

Did this one yesterday. Interesting problem, pulling of the ground/gaining the horizontal pinch is certainly the crux. The high-step is pretty awkward and kind of hurts your thigh, but the cool upper section makes up for it. If the whole thing climbed as well as the last 7 feet it would be worthy of more stars, but as it is it's still a cool problem. Sep 18, 2016

The vid looks like a traverse from the start holds on AT around the corner to Gene Therapy. Aroma sticks very close, perhaps even a bit left of the arete, finishing up a thin flake. The photo above shows the crux high step on to the sloper at shoulder height, left of the arete. Dec 27, 2011

edit: you're right, that's definitely not Aroma Therapy. Does anyone have video of this problem being climbed correctly? Dec 27, 2011
