White Lines

FA: Greg Loh
California > Lake Tahoe > I-80 Corridor > Donner/Truckee… > Donner Pass > White Lines Boulder

Description

Called the "Midnight Lightning" of Tahoe, White Lines is a must do boulder problem. For a difficult problem, the holds aren't too bad. The top out is high up with a big rock below, however the holds keep getting better the further up you go. Several spotters are highly recommended! Unlocking the beta is a crux if traffic has been low and holds aren't chalked.

Location

Center of the boulder, obvious line up horizontal edges.

Protection

Multiple pads and good spotters very helpful.

[Hide Comment] This was one of my first climbs in Tahoe, and after doing a bunch of climbing in the area this remains a prominent stand out. Absolutely phenomenal movement/rock. Absolute classic. May 6, 2021

[Hide Comment] The holds definitely do not get better the higher up you go. In fact, I would argue the crux is quite actually the top. Jun 14, 2021
