Climb the fingery left facing flakes past three bolts and some small gear. At third bolt angle right and up to a ledge with anchors.
Shane and I originally tried this ground up. He hurt his knee in a car accident and someone else rap bolted our project. He flashed the FA as his first "come back" route post surgery.

At left side of Red Wall.

Can I tell everybody how this route got its name? I think I should. Shane started working on it. The Mitey Gus tried it a time or two. I used to be his room mate in his mother's condo. One evening we were sitting at the table, drinking beer, and he told me about trying the route, but Shane had put the bolts in the wrong place. I hadn't even tried the route, as it was way beyond my ability, so I didn't know. Anyway, Gus smugly assured me he was going to do it first, then call it "Bolting 101, Lesson 1, Shane F*&#s Up!" Of course, I was amused. A day or two later I told Shane. He went out, led the route and called it "Silence The Critics." Gus was dejected. Jul 25, 2017
