Description Suggest change

It is named The Mantels because of the series of mantels that take you up this route. This wall is slightly overhanging, so getting onto the second mantel is very awkward. Once there, the crux is a reachy move. You can use the two crimpers on the right to get your right foot up to the third mantel, or you can use one of the crimpers one the right and a solid hold to the left.

Location Suggest change

This is to the right of the wall's most apparent climb, Butcher Knife Crack.

Protection Suggest change

There are apparent bolts at the top of this climb. They also serve the Bear Hug.

Per Paxton Jones: this can be led with gear and 2 pitons. Bring 2 quickdraws and a mid-sized cam for near the top. The anchor has chains, but they don't reach the edge.
