Lincoln it Up

5.10a, Sport, 35 ft (11 m),  Avg: 2.9 from 68 votes

Arkansas > Northwest Arkan… > Lake Lincoln > N Side > Main Wall

Description

A great first 5.8/5.9 sport climb. Move up dead vertical stone past a flake up to a huge ledge and then to the anchors. This would be awesome if it were another 80ft or so of climbing! This one is really easy to top-rope so use draws if you do to save the anchors.

Eyeing down the side pull on the crux. Really fun movement on a beautiful wall, definitely a Lincoln classic.

[Hide Comment] Fun route and is a good warm up. There is a Big tree at the top for an anchor. I used the tree to access the bolt anchors and rope soloed this one. Jun 21, 2014

[Hide Comment] Due to a broken hold, this has been upgraded to 5.10a in the new guidebook. Kind of runout at the top, but you are on moderate terrain at this point. Sep 11, 2017

[Hide Comment] Probably 10a, really fun for the area with good moves on solid rock. Pretty clean too. Like a lot of Lincoln climbs, if it was 30 feet longer it would be really classic. Sep 13, 2020

[Hide Comment] Solid 10a, there's a cheater block to the right of the route you can use to make the first clip a little safer. Both hangers on the anchor were spinning last time I was there, but the bolts were solid. If the spinners sketch you out, you could pretty easily use the anchor for Black Sheep or Smeaglin It Up. There's a new practice anchor with rap rings on a rock adjacent to this route. May 18, 2021
