California > Sierra Eastside > Mammoth Lakes Area > Lake George > Dike Wall > N Face

Description

The obvious thin crack that passes a tree near the top (hint: it's easier on the right side). This is a fun route that's essentially face climbing with a thin crack for protection.

Location

Left side of the North Face, just right of Mongoloid.

Protection

Gear to 2 inches, triple shut anchor (shared with Mongoloid, Mr. Kamikaze)

Fun climb. Mainly 5.7. Crux is avoiding the tree.

[Hide Comment] Tree detracts drastically from what is a nice jaunt. Did this after leading Mongoloid on TR, was happy to get more mileage by downclimbing rather than going to the anchors. Jul 26, 2022
