BLM Managed Lands at Castle Rocks PERMANENTLY CLOSED TO CLIMBING!! Castle Rocks State Park lands are OPEN TO CLIMBING Details

Description

Bouldery start to first bolt, then thin friction and edging to the second bolt. Somewhat runout to the third bolt (take care if you're short clipping the third bolt, ie, under 6' tall). Near the top, step left to the arete just right of the crack to the left. Up to the anchor on the rim of the formation.

Location

Located in the center of the wall, to the left of the deep, wide crack in the middle of the wall. To the right of Sirens of Almo.

Protection

Bolted sport route. Somewhat runout between the second and third bolts. Third bolt clip is reachy from the nice stance. Take care if you're short (ie, under 6' tall). Fixed anchor at top.

Photos

I ended up steping right to the finger crack near the top then traversing left to the last bolt and on up to the anchors. Great climb, keeps your attention start to finish. May 18, 2011
