Description

You probably won't actually hug it, but the tree at the base forms a natural ladder that is the start of this fun route.

Look for a tree growing right into the cliff and use the "steps" to move up on and onto the face. Casual climbing past closely-spaced bolts leads up and left to the top.

Location

Starts at a tree, just right of Footloose.

Protection

6-8 bolts; bolted anchors shared with Footloose.

Scaling this cool looking tree is only 'hard' part. Oct 26, 2009

Agree with Kit but the first couple of bolts provide some fun movement on alright holds. Contrived finish, either topping way left or running out straight up. I get on this nearly every L.L outing. Aug 23, 2012
You can pull an easy boulder problem instead of using the tree. It makes the route go at 5.8+. Apr 16, 2016

Super casual climbing after an awkward start up and around a small tree that's grown into the crag. A solid 5.7, recommended for novice sport leaders. Apr 27, 2016
