DescriptionHike into the main area of the Lower Satellites by following the signs to the Third Flatiron. When you arrive at the BBC Boulder, attempt to follow a poor social trail that almost skirts the edge of the Second Flatiron towards the Upper Satellites. Halley's Comet is located on the southeast corner of a large boulder down in a drainage before you get to any of the other problems in the Upper Satellites.
Begin from a stand start on chest high holds in the dihedral under the lip. Some dynamic slaps/tension moves and a hideous mantel precede a semi-stance 10 feet up. From here, regroup, then dance up 10-12 more feet of slab to the top. The sit start is known as Richter Scale and is considered V10.
