Warning Access Issue: Parking Issues: Starting 10/24/20 a reservation will be required to park at Reservation Rd. on all days and for the Backside on the weekends. See DetailsDrop down

Description

Slopers, crimps, and fun all around. This problem heads up a slopey left leaning arete to an easier topout. On the left side of the Illmob face (the one with spray paint), there is a notch. This problem climbs the arete on the faintly overhanging side on the left side of the notch. Sit start with a good sidepull jug and finesse your way up and left on slopers and make a cool move to a crimp (crux). Stick the lip and topout.

Location

On the Illmob boulder, the first boulder you see on the left when walking in from Reservation Rd, this problem climbs an arete that faces away from the trail. Downclimb the easy slab.

Joe chalkin' up for the beta burns, climbs pretty good even if the 'magic crimp' broke off

[Hide Comment] Did a hold break on the arete? I didn't climb it today, but I've looked at it before, and there was a big scar on the arete and it looked like it was missing something? Apr 21, 2013

[Hide Comment] Yeah I broke off the key crimp on the arĂȘte in the spring. I was topping out and I guess it couldn't handle my weight and my foot knocked it off. I left the peice sitting by the boulder don't know if it's still there. I probably made the route a bit harder sorry everyone! Sep 2, 2013

[Hide Comment] So I sent this thing today post break. It felt around v4/5 with the beta I used, however the beta I used involved a really high step onto the start holds from being matched on a sloper near the crack, which I could see being quite a lot harder for taller people. Also it climbed kinda strange but I liked it :) Jun 21, 2016
