RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details

Description

Classic highball with very bad landing. Ascend angled ramp on the left of the south face of boulder. About half way up, move left to a skeatchy keyed-in block and then go straight up.

Location

South face of Chaos Boulder (the side facing the road).

Protection

Lots of pads!

Four stars for movement and aesthetics. One star for rock quality. So I guess that averages out to about two stars.

Intimidating move to the top, but fairly safe with three or four pads and a spotter.

Definitely worth doing! Jan 16, 2014
