[Hide Comment] A little grungy getting to below 3rd bolt. Fun climbing from there. And, a bit run out if you didn't bring any gear to place between the 2nd and 3rd bolt. Oct 4, 2009

[Hide Comment] First 15 feet ok, harder than it looks. Last 30 feet ok if a little friable. Middle 25 feet on dangerous stacked blocks that will fail and kill somebody some day. Jan 2, 2018

[Hide Comment] A mini-fridge sized block came off of this route yesterday (3/27/22). I didn't see it happen, but I climbed the route and found what looked like a pretty fresh break with dirt and loose (aka, fully detached) rocks ready to fall. Afterwards, we talked to the guy who was on the route when the block came off. Luckily nobody was injured.

I carefully removed the biggest, loose rock (dictionary-sized), but there was still dirt and small loose rocks up there. If you don't bring any cams, you have to climb through the fresh break when you're 20 foot runout facing a definite groundfall before you can clip the first bolt on the upper arete. Extreme caution (and a helmet for you and your belayer) is advised. If someone is willing to go up there on a not-crowded day and do a bit of cleaning and investigation for any loose remnants from the break area, that would be awesome. I'm rarely able to get out there on a weekday, otherwise I'd offer to do it. Beware that the route is right above the right side of Lower Animal World. Mar 28, 2022
