Access Issue: Warning! Stainless steel bolts are suspect near the coast!
Details
You can read about the warning
here. There is extensive rebolting being done by the
Thaitanium Project, which has already rebolted the vast majority of popular routes in the main areas. Be informed!
Description
This is probably the best route on the Drinking Wall and one of the best on Phi Phi Island. The first half of the route climbs powerful overhanging rock to a good rest ledge. Then continue up steep delicate face and crack climbing to the anchor. A must do!
Location
This is the next route right of "Osafpt Is" just right of the approach trail.
Protection
9 Stainless bolts/threads and the anchor. Bolts 2005.
[Hide Photo] Ram at about the 3rd bolt pushing through the steep.
[Hide Photo] Hanging out on the rest ledge after the crux.
