Newly cleaned and better traveled this climb is now a much more worthwhile endeavor. The spacing of the bolts is a bit less generous than most Rumney climbs though there is enough to keep you safe. I think this adds to the quality of the climb rather than detracting, Excitement factor :)

Interesting friction climbing and edging up to a slanting crack/flake, follow this right then Move back left to a pull over a small roof atop the boulder.

From left to right this is route #2.

3 bolts to an old chain anchor.

I agree the lichen does indeed make it fun, I think I'm just spoiled by the normally really clean rock at Rumney. It is a fun adventure though. Oct 7, 2010

I agree with Matthew that this route is fantastic, but I disagree that it needs cleaning. This climb is fantastic for the grade with plentiful and amazing feet which the lichen, rather than detracting from the climb, makes it much more enjoyable. Oct 7, 2010

Although this area gets very little attention I headed out here today, it was awesome, I actually highly suggest this route. But be warned it needs some cleaning... ok maybe a lot of cleaning... Sep 25, 2009
