Ghost Dancer

FA: unknown
Iowa > Pictured Rocks > Sport/TR/Trad > A Wall

Description

Starts off slow. First three bolts are a few feet left of the rest of the route, I have seen the use of extended runners on these three bolts to decrease rope drag, although I think most people just use sport draws, as the rope drag is minimal.

Location

Third route from the left. To the right of Herding Sheep.

Protection

8 bolts, cold shuts.

[Hide Comment] I added some stainless steel screw gates to this a routet. Due to the angel for the rap and lower off was putting a lot of strain on the anchors. I feel this will make it safer for people to lower or rap without loading the anchors unnecessarily. If the community feels otherwise let me know and I will go remove the added safety measures. These are 52 kn rated stainless steel screw gates. Have fun and be safe out there Sep 9, 2017

[Hide Comment] A climber dropped one of the locking gate anchors from the top of the route. I replaced both carabiners at the anchors with wire gates Aug 31, 2020
