Description Suggest change

A wide series of flows (approx. 200') that are separated into several distinct lines, although it may come in as one big flow in banner conditions. Difficulty depends upon the line taken, with the right side offering the hardest line and the left the easiest.
Right: 25' of steep curtain rolls over onto easy slab. WI 3+
Center: Short steeper start to consistent bulging slab. WI3
Left: Short step to slab. WI 2+
The ice is generally juicy and there are decent belay trees for each line. This is a great moderate venue to log some laps.

Location Suggest change

The climb is across the creek from the highway and can only be glimpsed from one spot on the road about 1/2 mile or so up-canyon from the climbs. Park in a pullout on the left side of the road (if coming up from Shell) that has an informative sign with the title: Wildfires! You won't be able to see the climbs from here. Drop down about 100' to a bench, and take a hard right to follow an open, level ridge for about 100m that ends atop the cliffs. You should be able to see the climbs across the creek. Continue atop the cliffs about 100m up-canyon from the climbs, and descend down to the creek via a major break in the cliffs. This will be a bit of a bushwhack. The creek should be decently frozen here. Cross and go up the opposite hill a short ways and traverse over to drop in next to the right-most flow. It sounds complicated, but should become apparent when you're there. It's only about 10 minutes from the car if you hit it right.
