Description

This strenuous roof problem is located about 40 yards to the right of the Piano Boulder. The grade is somewhere between V3-5 depending on your body type.

Easy climbing leads to a good jug at the roof. A huge move leads to some small crimps near the top. It is a little bit of a circus move. If you are a circus performer you should have no problem. A spotter is nice, due the dynamatic nature of the finish.

Location

This obvious roof problem is located about 40 yards to the right of the Piano Boulder. Look for the arrow below the roof.

Protection

A pad and spotter is nice for this one.

Technically, this problem is located on BLM land (being "close" to the dam) and, henceforth is considered off limits but, that being said, it is a Gill problem. So, JordAnnnnn, this isn't part of the Piano Boulders (City of Fort Collins property). Oct 28, 2008

Speaking from experience, there is some serious flapper potential on this problem. Don't throw for the finger tip bucket above the "iron" hold. The sharp edge will rip you a new one. Aug 27, 2008

This is a sweet little problem. I did this years ago under the apparently mistaken impression that it was just a really sandbagged V1. Good to hear that someone else thought those little crimps felt worthy of a stouter grade. By the way I'm not sure if this boulder is technically part of the Piano area and on limits. Dec 25, 2007
