Goldenrod

V5-6, Boulder, 12 ft (4 m),  Avg: 4 from 15 votes
FA: unknown
California > Eastern Sierra > Mammoth Lakes Area > Sherwin Plateau > Pocketopia > N - Goldenrod Area > Goldenrod Boulder

Description

The perfect line. Start on pockets and follow the golden streak through a small square inclusion, and some smaller pockets up high. Go direct to finish and not toward the flake to the right.

This is my vote for the best of its grade on Bishop Tuff, and possibly the best line on tuff on the Plateau.

[Hide Comment] A great problem. Great moves and high enough to add some spice. The new guide has it at V6, which may be a little generous. Who cares about the grade, the problem is a must do. May 29, 2010
[Hide Comment] Guidebook calls this v6, it's easier if you are tall. Feb 2, 2012
