Learners Permit

5.5, Sport, 45 ft (14 m),  Avg: 1.6 from 52 votes
FA: Tristan Higbee, Christian Burrell
Utah > Wasatch Range > Southern Wasatch > Rock Canyon > Jobsite

Description

Little shorty on the leftmost side of the wall. Starts almost inside a little chimney. We over bolted this on purpose. It is quite short and easy so with the 4 bolts it is a PERFECT route to teach leading on (hence the name). Actually it is still really fun.

Protection

4 bolts + anchors

Location

Left-most bolted line, at the far left of the Jobsite area.

[Hide Comment] Like a staircase, pretty much. I agree, this is a great place to teach leading. The rock is really rough on hands though, especially at the beginning, so unless you've got leathery skin, I recommend tape. I feel the same way about the whole left side of Jobsite (I can't speak for the right). Fun little climb. Sep 13, 2008

[Hide Comment] Great little climb to learn leading. Too short to be really fun though, but an excellent first lead... (not like my first... 115' 5.8) The rock on this route didn't seem that sharp to me. Mar 15, 2009
