Description

The obvious roof near the bottom. pretty darn powerful underclings to crimpers. The upper prow is only 5.10b or so, but incredible. You can climb this upper part alone by skipping around to the 5.9 start up the chimney to the right.

Protection

10 bolts, bolted anchor. The anchor is back from the edge a bit.

Me trying (and ultimately failing) to get over the roof on George of the Jungle. This is right before I fell and messed up my leg.

I fell at the crux of this route and pendulumed into some sharp flakes at the base of the roof on the east end. My shin whacked into them, took a nice chunk of skin off, and I had to get some stitches.

[Hide Comment] I started working this route two days ago (7/15/2015) and left draws hung on it. I went back tonight to finish it and the draws were taken. Full rack of nice, nearly brand new orange and silver Black Diamond Free wire. If you took these or know who did please contact me and return them.
No there is no reward for whoever took them, it is fairly common knowledge that if a full rack of draws are hung on the route someone is coming back for them. Jul 17, 2015

[Hide Comment] 10 draws worth! Yeah...you're right Tyler, that should indicate that someone is still projecting the route. I could see taking one or maybe two draws as "booty," but not ten draws. Come on folks help the man out. At least two people in "the tribe" know where those draws went. Jul 18, 2015

[Hide Comment] Not sure if it was just the anchor I chose but I found this thing incredibly unsafe/difficult to clean on the lower as the rope on both sides kept scraping back and forth over the arete. Ended up lowering back to the ground and reclimbing on tr. If you do this route make sure you're ready to climb it again or your partner is good to follow it. Sep 23, 2020
