Genesis is the namesake route for the Genesis Wall (Canyon Entrance) and is a nice warm-up. This is a fun route with some good movement and is solid for the grade.

This is the third route passed when walking in. It is the next route right of the shallow, right-facing corner, Book of Life.

7 bolts.

Jug just below the crux was found to be dangerously loose. I coerced it out to keep it from killing a belayer standing in the wrong spot... likely upped this route's rating a letter grade or two.

Climbed this twice yesterday. Didn't know the jug was removed. That explains why it felt hard for 5.10b/c. Consensus between my partner and me is 5.11a. Nov 7, 2012

I'll second the 5.11a rating. This route is really fun and moves really well even with a hold gone. A body tension/face section and a little power required over the roof! Cool! Sep 8, 2015
