Description

Just another short easy route. Ok for the warmup, but Chok Dee (route to the right) was the better of three there.

  • Guidebooks disagree on which route is which and new routes have been squeezed into any remaining gap. This is my best guess. Regardless, most the routes on the left side wall are all about the same.

Location

Excluding the two routes around the corner to the left, it's the first on the left on the main wall.

Protection

Bolts and threads, about six.

[Hide Comment] This was the only route not taken by students when we showed up late in the afternoon. 5 slings then one bolt before anchor. Nearby guides warned us to go left after final bolt as straight up or right may have loose rock. Did not feel that bolt or anchor placement were optimal.

Guide belaying a student next to us announced, "Monkey Time" after I finished the route and left rope for partner to TR. Seconds later 20-30 monkeys ran over to the wall and choose this route as the way to make their way up (except for one that stole another climbers takeaway food first). They proceeded to bite and play on rope slings and anchor. 15min later they were gone and we finished up. I suspect this is a daily occurrence. Oct 22, 2016
