Revenue and Camp Bird Mines have resumed mining activities further up Camp Bird Rd. A new sign posted in February 2013 caused some tension as described in:
watchnewspapers.com/view/fu… Please refrain from blocking the road, yield to oncoming mining vehicle traffic, and be careful of rockfall and icefall. Please share the road to minimize future access issues with the road's multiple user groups.
Description
About 300 feet downhill from the route
Skylight is the prominent cave called the "Poser's Lounge". It is just uphill of two steep switchbacks in the Camp Bird Road. Climb up into the cave via a fixed rope. This is the obvious gold streak that runs up the cave. It is the third route from the left. The route is bolted and draws are typically already hanging.
