Description

This is another bouldery Boulder Canyon route, first bolted by Vaino Kodas and Mark Rolofson. It is referred to as a project with the name Filibuster and a potential grade of 13a in Mark Rolofson's guidebook. Start with a V5ish sequence over a bit of a roof to start. This is both crimpy and shouldery. After your feet are established over the lip, the climbing eases substantially and follows the arete to the anchors.

Location

This route is located by itself about 100 feet below Brat Slamit.

Protection

4 bolts to a two bolt anchor.

[Hide Comment] The name was inspired by a friend's childhood memories of playing in the pool with a girl named Chrissy. Apparently, he was a very naughty shark.

We went up to this route thinking it would be much harder. Ben quickly unlocked the moves but didn't think he was very close to doing the route. So, he let me try it, and after breaking a foot and falling on my first attempt, I sent it second go. Ben did it quickly after me. A little awkward, and short lived, but really fun. Oct 14, 2007
