FA: unknown
Colorado > Morrison/Evergr… > Morrison Boulders > Dark Side > Warm-up Traverse Area

Description

Sit down start on two sloping crimps on the east side of the boulder. Find a way to pull up to the sloping crimp up high and left, and then make your way up the arete until you can hit the good crimp out right on the north face of the boulder. From here, you are good to go. Topout however you wish.

Location

This is just west of The Cube, before you have to mount any large boulders.

Protection

A pad.

[Hide Comment] This can be done via a super low start, kinda gimmicky, but adds fun moves and crazy beta. Left hand on the left face below the double pockets and right hand on the low corner of the arete, it goes around V5. Most likely too cramped for the taller folks. Jun 25, 2009
[Hide Comment] The low start awkward, but super fun, if that makes any sense. The top out provided a little more spice then expected. Nov 24, 2009

[Hide Comment] Ultra low start is super fun. I'm 6'2" and didn't find it cramped at all. I used a low right outside heel hook on this little nubbin' counter flagged my left foot crossed under. Made it more tall person friendly. Jun 2, 2010
[Hide Comment] I only do this from the low start, right hand has a really good thumb catch and there is a good left foot underneath and a good right heel hook. I mix it up by going with the right hand first or left hand first. Mar 12, 2012

[Hide Comment] Top still dirty. Will try to brush some lichen next time, if I can remember a brush! Aug 12, 2013
[Hide Comment] Giving it a V5 for the super low start. Great fun, albeit lowball for the good moves. Nov 23, 2014

[Hide Comment] This is the world's hardest V4 if you ask me. Not complaining about the grade, as I think it is right, but I'm stumped. Help. Jul 14, 2020
