Description

Located just west of the Black Lichen Boulder on a small boulder which is tucked into a nest of other boulders.

Stand start at a high pinch on the arete, feet up on high edges and lock off/throw for an obvious jug. Once on the jug pull around onto the right side of the arete and surf grainy jugs to the top. Descend by jumping off onto an adjacent boulder.

A great problem for the grade with great rock and asthetic moves (the sit start is V5).

Overrated climb in my opinion. I wouldn't give it any stars in a guidebook. The big move off the pinch to the jug is pretty much just that, big. Throw for a couple more jugs and top out.

While I haven't linked it yet, I did the first few moves on the sit start and that was a different story. Really cool, strong, core-dependent moves low with tricky foot work. Not an immediate read either which adds to the fun of unlocking it. I just have to connect now with the stand start's opening pinch and rearrange my feet - then I'll be fully on the V1 which I anticipate will feel like a much better closer to a problem than a unique problem on its own.
