Description

Super sick, well-protected granite sport climb. Bolts set perfect to follow straight up the arête. A little short to be a classic, but worth the approach. It's difficult to see bolt 6 from bolt 5, but it's there and to climb straight up the arête between them makes the climb 11a. 2 cruxes.

Location

Furthest right bolted climb on the main wall. Head up the face of the arête that houses Bat Bastards and Gad Chutes.

Protection

7 bolts & chains

[Hide Comment] The first crux can easily be skipped by going to jugs out right. Doing that probably makes the route a one move wonder 5.10. Jul 31, 2011

[Hide Comment] Stay on the arete and commit to the obvious sidepulls, and you'll be back into jugs in no time. The move left above the small cave feature is fun. Jul 14, 2012

[Hide Comment] It's a good route. Be ready for lots of side pulls, heel hooks, and smearing. I struggled up it the first time I climbed it but eventually got to the top after taking quite a few falls. Excited to get back to it. Jul 4, 2016

[Hide Comment] Best route on the wall. Decent rock and good movement. Stay straight at the third bolt as the holds out right look to take you off route and could set you up for a bad fall. Apr 23, 2020
[Hide Comment] Block right of 1st bolt was removed May 2020; probably loosened with freeze/thaw during winter. Grade has not been affected. Photo attached for reference, should clean up more after next rain event. May 4, 2020
