Description

Climb up the center of the mottled face using nuts and small cams for pro and then past three nice bolts to a two bolt anchor with chains.

Location

This route is on the nice face left of the main section of the Checkered Demon.

Protection

A set of nuts and maybe some small cams.

For sure this route has three bolts in the upper part. Two must have been added later and are completely unnecessary. Nov 22, 2015

Dave, I can't remember well enough to know for sure. But we did do the Houser arete the same day, right aftwerwards. Pretty sure this one had 3 bolts of its own, but it was like 8 years ago now, so can't be sure. Nov 20, 2015

A nice start to this is to climb the wide crack directly below the face. Probably a little bit harder than 5.8. Aug 27, 2007
