Description

Great arete climbing up a beautiful squarecut corner! Start standing and make a hard highstep move to gain the arete. Stick with it until you get a sloping jug at about two-thirds height. Gather your wits and courage, and figure out the best way to get to the top (hint: look way up high and to the left for a small positive handhold). Be careful up there...this one's a thriller!

Location

The Walrus Boulder lies on top of a mound, downhill and a bit away from the central bouldering location at Devil's Den.

Best line on the boulder and maybe even the best V6 in the park. Great line that I walked by far to many times.
It's the first boulder you walk by on your way to Devil's Den. Just before getting to Throng it's on your left and up the hill. This is a tall and proud line so be sure to bring plenty of pads and spotters. You will need all the confidence you can get for the top of this boulder. Beta if you want it. youtube.com/watch?v=v5NS7QL… Apr 28, 2017

This thing sure does pack a punch. The arete down low requires technical and tension-oriented moves, where the upper section is very burly, committing, and physically and mentally taxing. My vote for the best v6 at Pway and quite possibly my favorite climb in the park. Jul 18, 2016
Video I edited together of some friends bouldering around Pway including a send of Individual Medley.
