Working Timberland Details
April 19, 2017: Weekday access to the Gold Bar boulders has now reopened following a temporary closure to ensure public safety during harvest activities associated with the Dyno timber sale. In partnership with Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition, DNR preserved access to much of the road network hikers and climbers use to access the Gold Bar boulders. DescriptionA mega classic fun line of technical pinching and body tension. Start sitting matched on the obvious chalked "nose" at the bottom of the scoop and move up through opposing slopey pinches in the roof above the scoop, finishing with a pull to a great edge over the lip and a bucket. Feels wickedly sandbagged at first and then when you figure it out is dead on for the grade.
LocationOn the "Cracked Egg" boulder in the topo on this site. It's the obvious chalked line starting low in the big scoop on the southwest side of the boulder.
