Description

Intriguing movement on some strange holds. Probably my least favorite route here (although I've heard "Middle Route" is pretty bad too).

Location

The furthest route right on the wall. Belay up in the 3rd class chimney.

Protection

6 bolts, 2 bolt anchor

"Red Man tobacco" On 9.14.17 this fine older sport route got a complete face lift. New anchors, new bolts, The line was straightened a bit and a few bolts were added to runout sections making for a fun 5.11 climbing experience. Go do it! and leave a comment. Cheers, Greg Sep 18, 2017

Great job on the new bolts Greg! This route now has 7 bolts and is well protected. Like all routes on this wall, it provided plenty of a challenge for this 5.10 leader. Aug 16, 2017

Rodeo queen, the farthest route on the right side of the wall was completely re-bolted the summer of 2015. Bolts were replaced and additional bolts were added removing dangerous runout and poorly bolted original sections bringing this route more in line for a 5.8 rating. A belay bolt was also added to protect the belay on the sloping stance at the base.

"Louise" right next door got 5 new boots and a bit of a cleanup on 7.9.17.

The same high quality climbing just more focus and fun on the movement than the "old school" runout sections. Enjoy! Jul 27, 2016

uh I think the confusion regarding this route is that there are a few reasonable sequences up the bolt line, one of which is cryptic and probably 5.8+, while the rest of the options feel in the 5.10- range, and thus the difficulty seems to vary greatly depending on which sequence you choose. Not a great route, but sometimes it's fun to feel like you're getting shut down by a 5.8...the slower the better Apr 26, 2016

I'm fairy new to sport leading, but this climb felt harder than a 5.8 to me. I managed to finish, after a few awkward moves and plenty of falls.

The belay stance was pretty awkward as well. Overall, it was a good challenge.
