Description

A fun moderate with somewhat spacey bolts. Feels similar to Bulldoggin', but bigger holds & less sustained.
Called 10 Second Ride and given .10c in the old guidebook.

Location

If you've ever been on Bulldoggin' and noticed the squeeze job that's within arms reach (to your right) of you, that's 8 Second Ride.

Protection

7 bolts, quick clip anchors

The 8 second ride has been eliminated to a minimal ride.. if you take a whipper... All bolts replaced the summer of 2015, with additional bolts added to runout sections all the way to the anchors. Still the same fun route just more focus on the moves now than the crazy runouts. Enjoy! Jun 14, 2015

found this one to be a bit stout for 10.b (at least compared to other ratings at rodeo). Solid 10 moves down low, lead to easier but continuous climbing on small edges and feet, with the technical crux of the route at the very last move before climbing the anchors. Maybe the last section just "feels" hard because you're well above your last bolt. The fall is very clean though and probably more dangerous for the belayer than the climber. Jul 23, 2014
