Baby Face

5.9+, Trad, 100 ft (30 m),  Avg: 2.6 from 39 votes
FA: unknown
Colorado > Gunnison > Taylor Canyon > First Buttress > Baby Face / Middle Wall

Description

On lead, you can go right above the first face and pull a small overhang that can take protection. An interesting variation (5.10) stays left on the second face (off the diagonal ramp). Follow the face to the chains at the top of Tony's Trango and Left Hand Crack.

Location

This climb is to the right of Tony's Trango and the left of Left Hand Crack. It goes right up the center of the face. There is (only) one bolt about 25 feet up.

Protection

Draws and small stoppers and cams.

[Hide Comment] Did the 5.10 variation, fun climbing on small but secure crimps up top. Toproped it off of Tony's. Aug 27, 2018
