Description

Climb up a steep face until possible to move right up a delicate slab up to a roof.

Make a tricky move left around the arete and then commit to the powerful moves through the roof. Once established in the groove above the roof the climbing eases a little. At the top of the groove climb the big easy flakes to the anchors.

Location

Left most route on the crag

Protection

12 bolts, Rappel bolt and chain anchor.

What was the intention at the slab section below the roof? From a good left hand sidepull, I climbed to the right but ended up on the 11a route 'View to a Kilt'. I did not see a way to go straight up.

I wasn't able to figure out the moves up to the higher, left roof. Felt far beyond 5.10d or even 5.11 climbing. Sep 5, 2017

I did not enjoy this route at all and don't recommend it. Aug 12, 2013

I found this route fairly sustained and harder than the 11a next door which only really had one hard move.

Also watch out for your rope getting stuck in the crack on the lip of the overhang. Sep 2, 2007
