Description

Climb up a slab to the first bolt (clipped from the left). Climb a few feet higher then start a delicate traverse right passed the 2nd and 3rd bolts.

Continue up a steepening slap to a shallow corner which leads to a steep finish.

7 bolts, Rappel and chain anchor.

The guidebook lists this as 5.9 but it seems almost as hard as the 5.10a to the right (Springbank).

The initial traverse can be done high (easier) or low but both ways require some thought. Higher, fun moves take one past a small overlap before finishing up a short right-facing corner (crux) requiring some creative footwork and body positioning. Great route! Sep 10, 2007

really fun route with a poorly bolted anchor. why run the link/chain over an edge when it would be so much better a foot or two lower...

i would say the technical difficulty is similar to springbank (which is just a bit more sustained). Aug 17, 2015

The traverse on that white dike was exciting! Seems 5,9-ish to me. 9+ isn't out of line. Aug 8, 2016
