[Hide Comment] Just did this route and found it quite challenging for the old rating of 5.8, which is, face it folks, kind of a sand bag. One rater gave it a 10a, which is not unreasonable. I gave it a 9+. I think most 5.8 leaders would struggle HARD on this one. It's a fun route, and I noticed ALL the 5.8 raters gave it a 5.8+ because it's freakin' hard for the original 5.8 rating. Yeah, because it's not 5.8. Figure solid 5.9, maybe harder, and you'll be fine. Go expecting a 5.8 cruise, you'll be surprised. Jul 19, 2014

[Hide Comment] Fun route! Not sure what exactly happens at the 2nd or 6th bolt, but the area around the 4th bolt caught my attention. I tend to rate routes on a conservative, old-school, JTree/Valley YDS scale but even by that standard I would not give this 5.8+... Aug 11, 2014

[Hide Comment] And if you're short (I'm 5'3" with a negative ape index), this is definitely 10a, maybe a little harder. It's a long reach to the crux handholds. Everything else, though, goes just fine, and it's a great little climb. Aug 6, 2019
