Description

This committing route starts out with a bang. Traverse in from the right and make the first clip. A dynamic move to a good hold and a few balancy moves around the 2nd clip are the crux. Getting to the 2nd clip is a little heady. After reachy the jug on the arete, enjoy the fun 5.10 arete moves and the perfect position.

Location

The bolted arete to the right of "Land of the Lost" and "Route Expedition".

Protection

handful of bolts...

I thought this route had fantastic movement..
That being said, the moves to the second clip are dicey and hard to reverse.
In my opinion the clip at bolt 2 is the hardest move...
To make this safe and really enjoyable
Stick clip the second (long stick) or clip the 1st and stick the 2nd downclimb or lower and enjoy all the moves. Worth it IMHO.
Pussy move but safe bet if .11b slab is your max. :)
Once the 2nd clip is made relax and prepare for a superior finish on great rock.
Dave H highly recommended this route.
“Short. But probably the best route we ever put up, super cool line.”
I agree. Jul 16, 2018
