DescriptionLayback Crack follows the wide crack in the corner just left of Marmalade. The Ellington (2005) book gave Layback Crack a 5.9, but I felt it was much easier than its big brother to the right, although just as good.
Start as for Marmalade, on a block just off the trail, climb a dirty crack to a ledge and gain the OW. Once in the OW there are two options arm-bar/chicken wing (my choice) or lay it back; hence the name. No particular crux on this, just sustained fun.
There are rap slings tied around the tree on top.
