Discription

A fun but short mixed trad/ sport climb if you want to place some gear afterwork. Climb a left-facing dihedral via laybacks and then work your way onto the face clipping two drilled pitons before the anchors. Easily protects with a 4 QDs and small to medium gear.

Approach

Approach as for Old'n. The climb is the obvious, left-facing dihedral 30 feet to the right.

In my opinion, this would be a very incredible route, given slightly higher rock quality. The feature climbing is pretty phenomenal at the grade. This goes without saying in RRCOS, but don't climb this the day after it rains. After it rains, the rock is very soft and wants to fall apart, and the gear placements aren't very confidence inspiring. Jul 16, 2017

Great fun, you'll wish it was longer. Bring your #2. Mar 19, 2009
