Description

Super-sharp crimps!
Start on the slab/rock and get close to the slightly overhanging short face, grab some sharp crimps and climb the relatively uninteresting face trending right up to slopers for the top out.
This climb routinely stumps climbers solid at the grade. This climb is not beta intensive, it just has wierdness that results in pulling hard and going up.

Location

Farthest boulder from entrance without going down to the swamp.
The circle trail turns back towards entrance at this boulder, don't miss the trail and head towards the swamp.

Protection

Pad and a spotter so you don't go down the hill or into the ankle twisters.

To reach the side pull high on the left, I used a right undercling at chest height to step my feet up and compress into the (aforementioned)sidepull. Then another move up with your feet will get you to the topout sloper. Fun route, albeit a little painful. Oct 11, 2015

Footage of someone (ok, me) making this look harder than it probably is (starts at about 0:48)"

It's all in the feet. Keep bumping your left up, then stem with your right to reach the horn thing, then bring your right across. Great problem! Jan 7, 2011

Matt, I'm not much of a boulderer and V3 is typically well within my ability and I just sent this last fall for the first time in 8 years worth of attempts. Great problem. It's all about the setup at the start. Mar 11, 2010
