V1-2, Boulder, 12 ft (4 m),  Avg: 2.3 from 6 votes
FA: unknown
Wisconsin > Baraboo Range > Devil's Lake > Devil's Lake Bo… > Sandstone Area > Old Sandstone Boulders

Severely overhanging. Heel-hooks to spare. Layback to "the nipple," match; then throw for jug to the right towards the top. Top-out above dubious block below.

A 45 degree slab on it's downhill side; at the top of the Old Sandstone Area trail.

Bouldering pad. Spotters for top-out.

[Hide Comment] There is also a boulder 30 feet east of the nipple that has 5 or 6 problems. Nov 10, 2009

[Hide Comment] I spied a potentially harder version of this on the steep face right of the arete. Anyone ever try it? Mar 30, 2011

[Hide Comment] v3/4 variation of "The Nipple" if you start low in the overhang. Burly dynamic bump before finishing with the rest of the route. Sep 30, 2017

[Hide Comment] This is a great problem on a nice free-standing boulder. There are many variations possible, harder if you use only holds below the lip. First move is to pinch the quartzite pebble and then cross through, and the slopey top out is no gimme. May 17, 2018
