Description

The bolted, rounded arete climb. Staying straight on the bolt line is best but many bail out to the right, at least at the start, to make it easier. Near the top many climbers head left into the small dihedral for the finish but the arete straight up is more natural, fun and well-protected.

Location

2nd bolted line right of Squeeze Chimney. Shown as route number 3 on the Overlook route topo photo.

Protection

Five bolts to a bolted chain anchor.

[Hide Comment] Been exploring the Overlook area recently and found this climb to be fun and well protected. The first bolt is a little high but the climbing up to it is easy and should not make many have second thoughts. The moves in the climb were nice as there are an abundance of solid hands and feet almost all through the route. Because of that, I would add that at no point did I find a crux as the climb was more just solid 5.10- moves consistently. May 12, 2016

[Hide Comment] If I had four arms I’d give this route four thumbs down. Contrived and forced. If you get the opportunity for this one... go ahead and skip it. “Holy wall” is the same rating and WAY better. Mar 13, 2021
