Description

Fun and aesthetic.
Locate a large rectangular slab of rock to the right of the Ankar Gate. Casual entry moves to a stiff face crux and rest. Joins the left arete for sustained edging, smearing, and palming-liebacks to the top of the slab. 105'.

Protection

About a dozen draws. 70m rope is nice to have for this one, otherwise lower into the gully with a 60m.

[Hide Comment] This is a fun, long, single pitch, slab route. Classic South Platte style slab climbing on thin edges, broken face holds, and small nubs. It did not feel like a SPlatte, .11a slab though. We thought, although extremely sustained, it was no harder than .10c on any move. We decided .10c/d is appropriate due to its sustained nature. Make sure your shoes are comfy or you'll be dying at the end. Jun 19, 2020

[Hide Comment] Super fun, well bolted, continuous. Harder than Riders in the Sky, but I'm not much of a slab climber to grade. I'd say 11a is probably a fair grade. Jul 25, 2021
